Cascade Clamps - Established in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company began as a small machine store employing just 4 individuals. Overall sales for that particular year amounted to about $60,000. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless-steel valves, pipe fittings and various parts. Through 5 years of operation, the company had expanded to forty workers and their yearly sales volume had increased to $330,000. Today, Cascade is among the leading international manufacturers in the material handling trade.

Production and design of the company's first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of new business opportunities. During the last sixty years, the material handling business has grown into a highly complex area and Cascade has proudly played a part in this development. Cascade at the moment continues to grow as the premier supplier of forklift attachments and numerous related items. The company feels assured in their skill to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding client's needs in the future and remaining aggressive in the world market.

In the 1950's, Cascade started designing, making and promoting hydraulic accessories. Manufacturing was done in 1956 on a brand new office to accommodate all plant and office operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's current headquarters. Following fifteen years of business, total employees reached 180 employees and sales had reached nearly $2,300,000.

A second production plant was built in 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. The year 1960 marked Cascade's initial transfer into the international world of the material handling industry as the company established interest in Australia, the Netherlands and England.

In 1964, the business changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. Afterward in 1965, the company went public with an initial offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Ever since then the business has expanded its manufacturing services within the continental US to the locations Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already existing plants in Springfield, Ohio and Portland, Oregon. Cascade products are fabricated internationally because of numerous subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a new facility was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European headquarters. This facility is built to be the ultimate customer support centre.
